Da Nang – Greater Bay Area (China) Innovation Space
On May 29, the Da Nang Department of Science and Technology and the Da Nang Innovation Startup Support Center officially launched the Da Nang – Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area Innovation Space (China).
The space is located at Enosta Space, 280–282 Tran Hung Dao Street (Son Tra District, Da Nang City).
This new strategic hub aims to facilitate connections and create favorable conditions for startups to access markets, resources, technology, and investment opportunities from partners in the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area (China).
Mr. Jesse Choi, General Director of Sunwah Group for Southeast Asia, Executive Director of Sunwah Innovations, and Chairman of the Vietnam Chapter of the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area Entrepreneurs Alliance, shared that the Greater Bay Area is considered one of the world’s most dynamic and globally integrated economic regions, home to more than 86 million people with a total GDP exceeding USD 2 trillion.
Each city within the Greater Bay Area possesses unique strengths, forming a comprehensive support network that accelerates the commercialization of ideas—from laboratory research to market deployment.
Mr. Jesse Choi emphasized:
“This innovation space is expected to become an important bridge linking Da Nang’s innovation ecosystem with the Greater Bay Area—one of the world’s most vibrant technology and innovation clusters, including Hong Kong (China), Macao (China), and nine key cities of Guangdong Province such as Shenzhen and Guangzhou.”
He also noted that in May, a representative from Da Nang will join a financial training program organized and sponsored by the Hong Kong Financial Services Development Council (FSDC).
Later this week, the Innovation Space will welcome a delegation of nearly 20 experts and startup companies from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University to explore collaboration opportunities with Da Nang’s ecosystem.
In recent years, Da Nang has identified science, technology, and innovation as strategic pillars of development. The city continuously supports investors, businesses, and the innovation ecosystem through institutional, infrastructural, and resource facilitation to drive innovative entrepreneurship and sustainable growth.
Ms. Le Thi Thuc, Deputy Director of the Da Nang Department of Science and Technology, emphasized:
“We believe this Innovation Space will become a strategic destination for technology enterprises, international investors, and creative ideas with regional impact.”
This is the third Innovation Space launched after the Da Nang–Seoul and Da Nang–Singapore spaces. Its establishment not only expands the city’s international cooperation network but also reaffirms the effectiveness and practical value of Da Nang’s international collaboration model in innovative startup development.
