Expanding collaboration, connecting with startup support organizations in Singapore

On October 26th, Mr. Duong Hoang Van Ban, Deputy Director of the Danang Department of Science and Technology, and Head of the working delegation along with members of the Department of Planning and Investment of Da Nang City, and the Da Nang Startup and Innovation Support Center, visited and worked with KilsaGlobal, Metacamp, Draper Startup House, and the Da Nang Startup Community Group doing business in Singapore.

KilsaGlobal is an organization that promotes business and investment in the Asia-Pacific region, supporting accelerated growth for startups. KilsaGlobal has built a strong network connecting businesses, investors, and the startup community. The combination of a global vision and in-depth understanding of the specific needs of the Asia-Pacific region is a strength that helps KilsaGlobal Singapore create new opportunities for businesses and investors, while also playing a crucial role in promoting innovation and economic development in the region.

During the working session, Mr. Vo Đuc Anh, Deputy Director of the Da Nang Innovation Startup Support Center, representing the working delegation, introduced the startup ecosystem of Da Nang.

After the introduction, the two sides discussed and agreed on the expected collaboration content, focusing on building support programs, training courses, financial support, and startup events to create favorable conditions to encourage the development of Da Nang's innovative startup projects in the Singapore market and the region through Kilsa's network. At the same time, through Da Nang's startup and innovation support network, they will support Singapore startups and Kilsa in accessing the Da Nang and Vietnam markets.

During the visit to Metacamp, the working delegation was introduced to Metacamp's startup support model in the blockchain and web 3 sectors. Both sides discussed and planned to organize community connection activities, workshops, training courses, and competitions related to the blockchain and web 3 fields in the near future.

At Draper Startup House Singapore, the working delegation was introduced to and visited the Co-Living workspace. At the same time, representatives from Draper Startup House Singapore shared information about the "1 Million Startups" program. The "1 Million Startups" program aims to support and encourage one million startups worldwide. The main goal of this program is to create an innovative business environment and promote innovation within the startup community. Through providing financial resources, in-depth consulting, and international networking opportunities, the program helps startups establish important connections and collaborate with partners and other businesses. The goal is to promote innovation, create jobs, and stimulate economic growth in the international community.

Draper Startup House is known as a place that connects and supports startup businesses, building a vibrant startup community, with representatives in 21 cities worldwide. In addition, Draper Startup House also implements accelerator training activities and invests in 60 projects in the Asia-Pacific region. Here, businesses can receive support from experts, funding, and necessary facilities for development. This helps startup businesses create breakthrough products and services in an exciting and innovative environment.

Especially, within the framework of startup networking activities in Singapore, the working delegation had a connecting session with the Da Nang community group that is starting up, managing, being experts, and doing business in Singapore. The parties exchanged discussions, ideas were put forward to build experience-sharing programs, organize events, create investment opportunities, and support startup businesses. Ideas about sharing resources, knowledge, and experience were discussed to enhance cooperation and connection between businesses and investors in Da Nang and the Da Nang Community Group and Vietnamese people in Singapore.
