Nano Đồng AGOIN – A “Super Fungus-Killing” Solution for Green, Residue-Free Agriculture

Against the backdrop of growing demand for agricultural safety, reduced chemical residues, and increasingly stringent market standards, Nano Đồng AGOIN – Super Fungus Killer is developing a new approach to preventing and treating fungal diseases in crops through nanotechnology.

The product has been researched and refined based on a proprietary production process developed by its own team, with the aim of replacing chemical pesticides, improving the quality of agricultural products, and reducing environmental impacts. Its technological potential and practical applicability have helped Nano Đồng AGOIN secure a place among the Top 10 projects of the Da Nang Innovation Startup Festival 2026 (SURF 2026).

Today’s agricultural production faces increasingly stringent requirements for controlling chemical residues, particularly for agricultural products destined for export markets. This is the challenge that Nano Đồng AGOIN aims to address by combining nanotechnology with a multi-mechanism mode of action, creating a fungal disease management solution aligned with the trend toward greener and more sustainable agriculture.

Nanotechnology Enables a Multi-Action Solution for Fungal Disease Control

Nano Đồng AGOIN applies nanotechnology using ultra-fine copper particles developed to control common fungal diseases in crops, including Phytophthora, Fusarium, and Colletotrichum.

Unlike solutions that act through a single mechanism, the product is designed to work through multiple modes of action: destroying fungal cell membranes and DNA while also providing plants with essential copper micronutrients. As a result, the product not only helps control fungal diseases but also supports photosynthesis, promotes plant growth, and enhances plants’ natural resistance.

A notable feature of Nano Đồng AGOIN is its PVA biopolymer coating technology, which helps control the release of copper ions. According to the product’s development approach, this mechanism helps reduce the risk of unwanted residues while aiming to ensure safety for humans and ecosystems.

In addition to fungal disease control, the product can also be used to support orchard cleaning and the treatment of algae and moss, expanding its practical applications in agricultural production.

A Distinctive Production Process as a Technological Advantage

Beyond focusing on the product formulation, AGOIN identifies its production process as one of the key technological advantages of Nano Đồng.

According to the development team, the process was researched and refined in-house to control the size of the nanoparticles within an appropriate range while maintaining product stability over extended periods. The product is designed to minimize oxidation, even when exposed to sunlight, thereby maintaining its effectiveness during storage and use.

The product’s effectiveness is currently reported to last approximately 2–3 months after application, depending on crop and cultivation conditions. This is an important factor for growers who need to control disease while reducing the number of treatments required during a growing season.

From a sustainability perspective, the development of a biological nanotechnology solution to partially replace chemical pesticides also creates potential to reduce the amount of chemicals used in agricultural production, contributing to safer cultivation practices and supporting carbon-emission reduction goals.

From Field Trials to Market Expansion

The effectiveness of Nano Đồng AGOIN is gradually being validated through deployment across various crops and production areas.

The product has been applied to cassava in the Mekong Delta and Central Highlands, durian in the Central Highlands, and lotus in Dong Thap. Following application, customers have continued to trust and repurchase the product, providing a foundation for the company to expand its application models.

Notably, in Dong Thap, Nano Đồng AGOIN is continuing to be deployed in a new growing season under an intercropping model combining lotus and rice. This is considered a meaningful pilot model in the direction of restoring and developing the local lotus industry, while also creating an opportunity to evaluate the product’s applicability in integrated farming systems.

After approximately two years of development, the product has generated total revenue of around VND 300–350 million, providing initial evidence of its commercialization potential and market demand for biological approaches to fungal disease management.

Being selected among the Top 10 projects of SURF 2026 gives Nano Đồng AGOIN an opportunity to showcase its agricultural technology solution to businesses, investors, experts, and partners across the innovation and startup ecosystem.

Through its participation in SURF 2026, the project aims to expand its market presence, seek development partners, and secure resources to further strengthen its production capacity. In particular, attracting funding and strategic partners to invest in modern equipment and machinery has been identified as a key priority for increasing production scale and capacity in the next phase.

Building on its initial results with cassava, durian, and lotus, Nano Đồng AGOIN expects to expand its application to a wider range of crops, particularly agricultural products subject to stringent quality and export standards.

Nano Đồng AGOIN demonstrates that innovation in agriculture is not only about creating an alternative product, but also about addressing multiple challenges simultaneously: controlling fungal diseases, reducing dependence on chemicals, improving agricultural product quality, and advancing more sustainable production.

With its nanotechnology, refined in-house production process, and initial results from real-world farming applications, the project is gradually demonstrating the commercial potential of its solution. Its journey at SURF 2026 will provide an opportunity for Nano Đồng AGOIN to connect with partners, expand its market, and seek investment resources, thereby continuing to improve its technology, strengthen production capacity, and bring greener agricultural solutions to more farming areas.
